Let's take action to prevent marine debris from entering our precious freshwater.

This is Stop 3 of the Great Lakes Cleanup Road Trip: a movement to shift culture around plastic pollution, protect our freshwater, and inspire action across the Great Lakes region. Together, we’ll build community, raise awareness, and show the power of collective stewardship.

EVENT DETAILS:

• Anyone & everyone is welcome! Be prepared to clean up trash with others who are passionate keeping the Great Lakes clean. Get ready to laugh and have a great time!

WHAT TO BRING:

• Layers and sturdy footwear! June can bring showers and wind. Let's stay comfortable while we help Mother Earth.

• Reusable water bottle -- let's stay hydrated and prevent single-use plastic.

• Cleanup materials will be provided, but we welcome you to bring your own gloves, buckets & trash grabbers.

WHERE WILL WILL MEET:

• Lakeside Park near the concessions/bathrooms. Look for the teal tent.

SCHEDULE:

• 10:00am Registration/Check-In

• 10:15 - 11:45am Cleanup and data collection time

• 11:45am Bring trash back to the tent to weigh and share your trash count

• 12:00pm Celebrate and group photo

Great Lakes Great Responsibility is a nonprofit organization committed to removing and preventing marine debris through community action and regional advocacy. We aim to to cultivate a culture of individual and corporate responsibility amongst Great Lakes community members, united in their commitment to an environment free from marine debris.
